Caribbean Citizenship by Investment: Your Plan B Passport in 3-6 Months
Get a second passport with visa-free access to 140-150+ countries including the Schengen Area, UK, and Asia. Citizenship for life. Pass to your children. Fully legal, fully recognized.
Why Americans Choose Caribbean CBI
For high-net-worth Americans, a Caribbean second passport is the most efficient Plan B available. Unlike European residency programs that take years to convert into citizenship, Caribbean CBI delivers full citizenship in 3-6 months without requiring you to physically relocate. Your US citizenship remains intact — this is a second passport, not a replacement.
Top Reasons US Clients Pursue CBI
- Travel freedom — visa-free access to 140-150+ countries including all of Europe (Schengen), UK, Singapore, Hong Kong
- Political and economic hedge — protection against future US instability or restrictions on overseas travel
- Generational asset — citizenship passes to spouse, children, and in some cases parents and siblings
- Privacy — second passport for banking, business, and lifestyle diversification
- Tax planning option — while CBI alone doesn’t end US tax obligations, it’s the foundation for those considering renunciation in the future
- Fast process — full citizenship in 3-6 months vs. years for traditional naturalization

About the Real Estate Option
Each program allows you to qualify through real estate investment rather than a non-refundable government donation. Real estate routes cost more upfront ($270K-$400K vs. $200K-$250K donation) but the investment is in a tangible asset you own. After a holding period (typically 5-7 years), you can sell the property and recover most or all of your capital, effectively making your citizenship significantly cheaper over the long term.
Approved developments include luxury branded resorts: Six Senses, Park Hyatt, Cabrits Resort & Spa, Range Developments’ portfolio, and more. We work directly with vetted developers and structure rental income / exit options as part of the deal.
If you prefer the real estate route, we provide full property selection, due diligence, and exit-strategy guidance — not just citizenship processing.
The Process — Step by Step
- Free consultation — we map your goals (mobility, family, tax, real estate) and recommend the right program
- Engagement & KYC — we sign agreements, you provide source-of-funds documentation
- Due diligence (parallel) — the government conducts background checks (this is the longest phase, 60-120 days)
- Investment — you make the donation or real estate purchase via escrow
- Approval & oath — you receive citizenship certificate and passport (most ceremonies remote)
- Ongoing — tax planning, real estate management, renewal support
Important: What This Does NOT Do
We’re straightforward with American clients. Here’s what Caribbean CBI is not:
- Not an instant tax solution. US citizens are taxed on worldwide income regardless of additional passports. CBI is a foundation, not a switch.
- Not a guaranteed E-2 visa to the US. The 2022 AMIGOS Act changed Grenada’s E-2 pathway — it now requires real domicile in Grenada before E-2 eligibility. We’ll explain exactly what’s realistic on your call.
- Not anonymous. Every program has rigorous due diligence. People with sanctions, serious criminal records, or significant compliance issues cannot pass.
- Not a vacation home buy. The real estate route requires approved developments, not just any Caribbean property.
